In this workshop, we will explore the art and practice of contact improvisation (CI), and consider how skillful dancing depends on our ability to attune to what is going on inside and outside of us.

There are fundamental principles that underlie CI, which teach us to mobilize support, soften landings, develop pathways to change levels, and move with a spherical sense of space.  Ultimately, it comes down to listening and sharing creatively with others.  We will practice mutual respect and learn to allow the dance to unfold rather than controlling its outcome.

This workshop is designed for contact improvisation dancers of all levels.
